Grapes: Touriga Nacional, Syrah
Winemaking/Vinification: The grapes, previously destemmed, went through a low temperature pre-fermentative maceration for 24 hours. The alcoholic fermentation was done in small stainless vats with temperature control, not going over 27º C for 12 days.
Ageing: The wine aged, partially, for 12 months in French and American oak barrels.
Aroma: A powerful Reserva with a strong dark colour and beautiful black fruit aromas.
Tasting Notes: In the mouth, the wine presents a rich and jammy profile showing notes of ripe red fruits, chocolate, vanilla and spices. Smooth and elegant tannins offer a nice complexity and excellent ageing potential. A long and lingering aftertaste.
Food pairing: Strong dishes, small game, matured blue or gorgonzola cheeses.
